About Ayush Systems

Exploring India's traditional medicine systems

Ayurveda
Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing from India. It's based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda emphasizes prevention and encourages maintaining health through balance in diet, lifestyle, and the use of herbs.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a medical system based on the principle of "like cures like." It uses highly diluted substances that in large doses would produce symptoms similar to the disease being treated. Developed in Germany in the late 18th century, it's now practiced worldwide as a gentle, non-invasive treatment approach.

Unani
Unani Medicine

Unani medicine is a traditional system of medicine originating in Greece but developed extensively in the Middle East and South Asia. It's based on the concept of the four humors (blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile) and focuses on restoring balance through diet, herbal remedies, and regimental therapy.

Haryana Government Initiatives

Promoting and growing the Ayush sector in Haryana

Ayush Policy 2023

The Haryana government has launched a comprehensive Ayush policy to promote traditional medicine systems. The policy focuses on integrating Ayush with mainstream healthcare, establishing new Ayush hospitals, and supporting research in traditional medicine.

Ayush Drug Manufacturing Hub

Haryana is developing a dedicated Ayush drug manufacturing hub in Karnal to boost local production of Ayurvedic, Unani, and Homeopathic medicines. The hub will provide world-class infrastructure and support for small and medium enterprises in the Ayush sector.

Ayush Gram Initiative

Under this initiative, selected villages are being developed as "Ayush Grams" where traditional medicine is the primary healthcare approach. These villages serve as model communities demonstrating the effectiveness of Ayush systems in preventive and promotive healthcare.

Digital Licensing Portal

This portal is part of the government's effort to streamline Ayush drug licensing processes. The digital system reduces processing time from weeks to days, ensures transparency, and makes it easier for manufacturers to comply with regulations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
